It's a BOY!

It was SO obvious on the screen that our little munchkin is a boy! The tech put the wand thingy on my belly and immediately I could tell it was a boy. I said, "Looks like a boy to me" and then she asked if we wanted to find out. It was so clear though, that even if we didn't want to find out, there was no hiding it.

He was moving around a LOT and it made it hard to get a few of the shots she was looking for, but overall she got some great ones :)

We took Laura with us to the appointment because she had her visit earlier in the morning. She didn't do too well and screamed through half of the scan and then was scared when we went into the office to see the midwife (Molly). I think she either thought we were there for her, or that they were going to hurt me (remember, she had 2 shots, flumist, and 1 finger prick this morning). Add all that to the fact that it was definitely nap time - and it just wasn't a fun place for a 2 year old (or anyone else in earshot of said 2 year old!)

Everything on our scan measured just right, except my placenta is low ... so they're going to repeat another ultrasound between 30-32 weeks (I think that's what she said!) to make sure it's not over the cervix. I really want to do a natural delivery so I'm praying really hard that it moves up!!!

Other stats:
My weight: 147# (That's a total gain of 13.5 pounds so far!) Eek! 8 of that was in the last 3 weeks! I think I'm going to say it was 146# though since I had jeans, sneakers and a sweatshirt on... :) ...so that means just 7 pounds the past 2 weeks for a total of 12.5# That's how I do it though - 8 to 10 pounds a month from here on out won't suprise me one bit.
My BP: 108/62 (that's low for me)

Baby boy's HR: 140's (see, lower IS boy!)
Baby boy's weight: 14 oz.

The top nub is the umbilical area - and the bottom nub - well, that's the boy part!
Upper extremities - the round on the left is his head, looking down onto his arms.
Knees. legs and feet on left, belly on right.

And my favorite of the day... their new machine does 3D!

This weekend's chore - sort through eight 18 gallon totes of pink and get it down to just one tub of special outfits to keep - sell/donate the rest and start buying BLUE!

my HR was lower with Miles too....totally a boy thing. I'll send some things your way, you can take what you want and give away anything you don't. Congrats again, I almost had tears in my eyes when I read that. Boys are awesome.
