Had Laura's 15 month check up on the 29th of December.
24 pounds (68th percentile)
31 inches (68th percentile) - she hasn't grown any inch wise since her 1 year check up ...she was 31 inches then too and at that time in the 95th percentile! We thought she'd be off the charts this time, but they measured her twice and sure enough - no height change. That's okay - means her clothes will fit a little longer now :)
She has not had her MMR yet or the chicken pox vax.... we decided to wait until 18 months for those. She got her 18 month shots (DTap and Prevnar) in place of the 15 month ones so she's still technically on track for getting everything on time.
She gives Hi Fives and has "blowing kisses" down.
She still has only 4 teeth. Yep, 25 months old and just 4 teeth. We're thinking a couple are getting ready to come through though - she's chewing on all her toys again, a bit more fussy, and drooling more...
She is little miss independent! She wants to do everything for herself.
She's wearing a 5.5 shoe...but that is a little big to get her through until the spring.
She's in size 4 diapers, although a lot of mornings she's damp so even though she's not in the size for a 5 - I bet we could use 5's for the absorbancy factor. Still in her medium fuzzibunz! Woo! Year two is where they say you see the savings for cloth diapering :) She's wearing 18 month clothes and a few 24 month things.
Her hair is long enough finally to hold a clip in it. Her bangs are in her eyes a lot, but she'll luckily let us pull them to the side with a little clip now :)
She likes to copy what we're doing and tries to help out a lot. Brushing her hair, brusing her teeth, feeding the cats, wiping her tray off, wiping the floor, putting stuff in the dishwasher (so, who cares if it's her puzzle pieces - she thinks she's helping!), puts things in drawers for us (so, who cares if it's her dolly in the tupperware drawer!), puts (some) things back where she got them if we ask her to show us where she got it from... the list goes on.
She will play independently for awhile now - getting really good at entertaining herself.

grandma? (1/2/09 after a day with Grandma Clark and Grammie and Papa had visited the night before - so she heard "grandma" a lot those previous 24 hours) :)
The question mark ones are ones we thought we heard, but not sure if she used them in the right context or not... or if it was just playing... we only heard them once each.
Of course, those are the official words, but she babbles and "talks" all the time - we're just not sure what she's saying most of the time!
She's very mobile - walking/running/twirling/dancing/climbing all over the place.
She takes one nap a day - usually 1.5-2.5 hours.
And the best 15 month update of all... SHE SLEEPS THROUGH THE NIGHT! I can say this with confidence now because she's been doing it for 2 full weeks now! YAY!!! I'm sure the next 10 nights will throw a wrench in the plans - but we should be able to get her back on track pretty easily once we're home.
