Any other year, I've said "I can handle it" when it gets into the 90's...and I've done just fine...but a clingy baby when it's 90+ is just yucky for every party involved.
Today is our 5 year wedding anniversary. I can say we didn't do a lot to celebrate - but that's what January is for (cruise!) Can't wait!!! We did go out today though... took Laura with us and just had a good day as a family. We went to town and stopped at Walmart and Kinney's - neither had an AC - so we're just fanning it again tonight. We were going to go to a late lunch on the way home, but Laura fell asleep so we decided to come home and she slept in her crib for about 40 minutes (this was 3ishpm) When she woke up we decided to go to an early dinner instead. Went to A1. I had chicken parm and Richie had a porterhouse steak. Laura shared a bit of each meal. She had some noodles from my spaghetti and some breadsticks and some of Richie's steak! She did well with all the textures. And she was pleasant the whole time...barely a peep out of her and when she did squeal it was a delightful sound - not an obnoxious kid being upset squeal. Our meals were yummy and we have enough chicken parm for a whole other meal for each of us. Then we went and had icecream. Delish!!! I think I'll be a more frequent visitor to Toads Too now that I know how good (and big!) their ice creams are!
It was still 88 when we got home. Watched the horse race while we let Laura have some naked time... oops... she peed on the rug. I heard a "splash" and knew immediately what it was! Oops :) Then I dunked her in a cool tub bath (thanks for that idea Kellie!) and she played with her bubbles - dried her off... nursed her...and she went right to sleep in front of the fan. That was at 7:30... we'll see if she pops awake like she did last night after one sleep cycle... I'm just hoping NOT! After being awake so long last night she slept until 8am!!! That's not happened since I went back to work in December! Of course, she was up to eat at 3 and 5...but still... 8!?! I didn't even sleep in until 8!

Happy Anniversary!! It sure sounds like it was a sticky one for all. I'm glad you at least got a good meal and some nice, cold ice cream! Where's your cruise?
