Saturday

Highest temp yesterday was 101.9 and she only got one dose of ibuprofen all day :)

Today so far she's not got a fever at all! Yay!

She's acting okay mostly - still whiney a bit though.



I've found my least favorite parenting job yet - giving medicine. She cries. She gags. She pukes. She screams. We've tried a syringe. We've tried a bottle nipple. We've tried a spoon. We've tried hiding it in blueberry applesauce, vanilla pudding, even tried it in vanilla ice cream! I have had some success with the applesauce, but she has to be majorly distracted and concentrating on something else or she'll just do the raspberry thing when she sees the spoon coming. 4 doses down. 16 to go.

Feeding her is a nightmare! She quickly learned how to make raspberries while eating and now she does it all the time! She never did raspberries during eating until she had to take that ucky medicine! GRR! I have a feeling the days of my child eating anything and everything are over!

All day yesterday she ate:
1 slice of american cheese
2 bites of vanilla ice cream
few spoons of vanilla pudding (with medicine)
few spoons of applesauce (with medicine)
and probalby 2 blueberries
8 ounces of milk
few sips of water from a regular cup

She wouldn't even keep the watermelon in her mouth - I thought for sure that the way she loves fruit and watermelon that I could at least get her to eat that but she wasn't letting that happen. I'm thinking she's teething on top of this whole not feeling good episode... Hopefully her appetite will pick up when she's feeling better.
