Raging UTI.
Took the sample in and the lady said "ok, we'll call you with the results". I said, "no, I'll wait."
Not 10 minutes later they came out and told me it looked "funky" and they wanted to cath her. So, today my poor baby had quite the life experience :( She cried so hard. Much worse today than she ever has with any of her shots. That sample was very infected. They sent it off for a culture and sent us off with a script for bactrim.
If she still has a fever tomorrow, that's okay. If she still has one on Sunday, we have to call the pediatrician on call and see if there are any results from the culture back yet.
Message to the tech at the Tops pharmacy - when I ask if the medicine can be flavored if it isn't already "good" tasting, do not feed me the line of "well, if it isn't already flavored, then it can't be flavored". It can. Maybe you can't do it at this pharmacy, but I could certainly take my Rx to Kinney's and have them use FlavoRx Sorry, the way she said it was really rude. I wasn't in the mood for rude today after sitting with a sick screaming child in the doctor's office for 3 hours today.

oh my goodness! poor baby! I hope she gets over this quickly. What causes a UTI? I can't imagine lacey screaming harder that she does for her shots, that sounds horrible. I would have been crying right along with her if that were my little peanut! She is such a trooper!
