Update on the sickies...

I'm hoping her UTI is cleared up now. We go back tomorrow for a recheck - really hope they don't have to cath her again, but we shall see tomorrow.

Her nose is still running clear and her cough finally cleared up. She still had the nasty loose cough up until Tuesday this week.

Her overnight sleep is still a mess. Read: I'm a mess. Exhausted. Tired. Blah. Last night we were going to perform an "intervention" but she outsmarted us and we didn't have to - I have been getting up like 5 times a night to feed her and get her back to sleep - I think when she was sick she needed it, but then she got used to it and is having a hard time letting go of the night time snuggles. So, last night the plan was that I would feed her when she woke between 10-11ish, then richie would be on duty for anytime she woke between then and 4amish...well, she was up at 10:23 and I fed her - the next time I heard from her it was already after 4! So Richie didn't have to go in... we'll see if that was a fluke or not - I'm hoping she's back to being up (at most) 2 times a night...

Oh, and her last dose of medicine was Wednesday morning. With just 4 doses left, we finally figured out a way to get her to actually take it all. Amy (from work) showed me an awesome hold where I pin her arms and legs (not that we hadn't tried before, but she'd wiggle out of it) this particular hold though she can NOT get out of! Anyways - we were doing that for a few days and it worked so-so becuase she'd still spit everything back out. Then we realized if I put a finger in her one cheek (between her gums) that Richie could squirt the meds in the other cheek and since she couldn't get her lips togehter, she couldn't spit. So, I think of all 10+ days of giving her the meds twice a day she actually got about 3-4 full doses in her towards the end. Next time we'll know. Next time though she'll probably have teeth on the sides and I may not want my finger in there.

How much is L eating during the day? Colin started refusing the spoon, and finger foods just weren't enough so he started waking up at 12, 3 and 5. Then yesterday I made him eat and he was only up twice, at 12:30 and 6, which I can handle.
